About Us

Partners for Christian Education International seeks to aid those members of churches of Christ who are interested in establishing Christian schools.  We hope to team with all who live by following the teachings of Christ Jesus, our Lord and King, and the teachings of His apostles.

At a time of transition when some of our congregations and schools of higher learning are “reexamining their commitment to first century Biblical doctrines and practices,” we will continue to sponsor schools and brethren who seek to fulfill the “Great Commission.” We listen to the words of Jesus,

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19,20

But what is a disciple?

We believe that many in people in our present world who say they are Christians speak only of grace and forgiveness that Jesus offers and then turn their hearts away from His words. He asks the question,

“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,” and do not do the things which I say?”  Luke 46:6

We highly commend those brotherhood colleges and educators who seek to remain faithful to Christ and follow His eternal words, who desire that their students be baptized into Christ and commit themselves to obeying His will and teachings, as Christ Himself by His example sought only to do the will of the Father.

Jesus Christ tells us, “A disciple is not above his teacher… It is enough for the disciple that he become as his teacher…”   Matthew 10:24,25

What is true education?

In thinking about Christian education and the eternal difficulty of finding teachers who possess the heart of God, we think about the words Apostle Paul, our brother,

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.’

Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. … For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards, not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things- and the things that are not – to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God – that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.”   1 Corinthians 1:18-31

Who possesses authority?

Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me.”
Matthew 28:18

Christ is the head of the church: and the highest form of human leadership rests with it’s elderships.  We recognize the natural tendency for Christian educational institutions consciously or unconsciously to attempt to improperly “lead” the church. We at Partners for Christian Education are aware of the danger of this temptation. We recognize our subordinate role and look only to serve the church and serve under our various elderships and our King and our Judge.
